Hunters, Fishermen Have Rights
Â
Â

Hunters and fishermen  do have legal rights in the world of conservation. In fact, hunters and fishermen  have less legal rights then maybe they should have because of our changes in conservation; less land to hunt and lakes to fish. A tight economy and high cost of living can effect the way we live and cause us problems to get out and enjoy our hunting and fishing.  Many hunters and fishermen have their backs up against the wall and it just doesn't seem fair. In fact, it's not. As it is not with many people in our society.  As far as outdoor sportsmen and women's legal rights go, many laws change in conservation and a man or woman could be doing something illegal during hunting or fishing and not even realize or recognize that they are breaking the law.Â
Â
An example of law breaking during hunting or fishing can be simple things such as crossing a boundary line when not knowing zones  on some public hunting grounds during a hunt or in boundary waters during fishing.  Other examples could be crossing over on private property without knowing it,   not understanding certain fire lane road regulations, taking undersized fish or shooting illegal game by mistake (such as a nub buck thinking it was a doe in a doe only area), or by mistaking a red spruce hen for a grouse. These are just small examples of law breaking in the field of conservation.  Mistakes, and they do happen, does not make a hunter or fisherman a bad person. Just because some people may do wrong intentionally, does not mean we all would. If hunters and fishermen are within their legal conservation rights or have made an honest mistake, then they should be left to tend to their business with a conservation officer and  not us. Â
Most hunters and fishermen are average men and women who support the outdoors. Generally speaking they are good people and no one needs or wants more aggravation. Especially in a society where we have enough problems already.
