There is a lot more protected species today. In my opinion there should be. A lot of our wild lands need to be protected and so should the wildlife that live in those places. The same with our oceans and marine life. However

 these laws that protect such things are not proving to be affective. Were polluting and destroying our lakes, rivers, oceans our land and forest. There's much work to be done and we need to get involved now. Also we should not point fingers at each other unless we know the facts. For example. Some Animal activist make it hard on hunters. Which can be rough on those hunters who are within their legal rights and may not even hunt endangered species. At the same time some hunters can be rough on animal activist who don't bother hunters at all. The best advice is learning the laws and be logical in our thinking mode. Life is short and we need to work together on our wild places. However hunters and fishermen should have their rights. For without them we cannot maintain a healthy balance with our wildlife. They bring a lot of money in land and wildlife restoration and much more.  I am a hunter and fisherman myself.  This does not mean I don't  have respect for wildlife.  If that were so I never would have wrote this article.
