A friend of mine once referred to the hunting season as season hunting. I kind of laughed it off when I heard it referred to as season hunting, but to my surprise he proved that reference to be accurate. He showed it to me on the Internet. What surprised me most of all was the amount of people that use the term season hunting. The more I thought about it I realized that it really doesn't matter how to refer to the season. Either way it means the same thing. The main thing that I know is that hunting season or season hunting however you say it, is a good time. No matter how you slice it. We had less deer herds this year in Wisconsin, and the DNR along with others are trying to work on the problem. However I believe that the deer herds will come back strong again in time, and the season hunting will get better on that account. Also with a tough economy hunting may not always be affordable for some, but for others it will be. But try and keep in mind that you may not always have to travel far to enjoy a day of hunting. Not that traveling is always the main expense in hunting, but it can be. Wild turkeys along with many other species like the coyotes, geese, ducks, squirrels, and deer and many more wild game animals seem to be doing well in many areas. So maybe by a simple knock on a farmer’s door or landowner that has plenty of property,  he or she may let a hunter or hunters on the property where you would not have to travel far to hunt. If you don't have much money and already own some hunting gear that may be an answer in a tough economy. There are many solutions for many problems but sometimes it may require a great deal of thinking. At any rate hunting season or season hunting, is a long season in many areas and is not a season to be missed if you can help it. Keep in mind all the wild game that's overabundance. Here in Wisconsin, we have more then enough geese, coyotes, squirrels, and ducks, in some areas turkeys, deer, and much more. Although this year the deer herd numbers are down a bit. But will more then likely rise in numbers again in time.  Hopefully
